Mediterranean Diet for Cardiac Health

Numerous studies have now shown that the Mediterranean diet can result in weight loss and help prevent heart attacks, strokes, type 2 diabetes and premature death. It's a lifestyle centered on whole natural foods including vegetables, fruits, whole grains and healthy fats like avocados, nuts, seeds and olive oil.

Cutting edge science has debunked the idea that high fat diets cause heart disease. Simply put, not all fats and oils are created equal. Some fats are good for you and reduce your risk for heart disease and actually help you lose weight. Other kinds increase your risk for obesity related disease and pack the pounds on.

Join inspirational Natural Foods Chef and Integrative Nutrition Coach, Christine Okezie for a fun and inspiring cooking class and learn to make satisfying flavor filled meals. Discover how easy and delicious it can be to adopt a delicious heart healthy eating plan for life.
