Valley Team Walks for Breast Cancer in Ridgefield Park

RIDGEWOOD, NJ, OCTOBER 30, 2015 — Valley employees walked for breast cancer in the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. The annual event took place on Sunday, October 18, at Overpeck Park in Ridgefield Park, NJ.

Breast surgeon Tihesha Wilson, M.D., Assistant Medical Director of The Valley Hospital Breast Center, led Valley under the sponsoring team name, “Valley’s Breast Friends Forever (BFFs)”. The funds raised by Valley are going towards groundbreaking cancer research and free educational material for those diagnosed with breast cancer.

The Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk is the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting nearly 300 communities with determination to cure and prevent breast cancer. It is a community celebration that honors and celebrates breast cancer survivors, raises awareness about the disease, and encourages people to get active while raising funds in order to support those who have or will have a breast cancer diagnosis.
