Becker’s Hospital Review has named The Valley Hospital to its 2016 edition of "100 Hospitals and Health
Systems with Great Oncology Programs.” According to Becker’s, organizations on the 2016 list are leading the way in quality patient care, cancer outcomes and research.

The Becker's Hospital Review editorial team selected hospitals for inclusion based on recognitions received and accreditations earned. The editorial team at Becker’s examined U.S. News & World Report cancer care rankings, CareChex cancer care rankings, Blue Cross Blue Shield Association Blue Distinction Center designation and designations from the National Cancer Institute while compiling this list.
Valley’s Oncology Program, which recently partnered with Mount Sinai Health System, provides comprehensive, patient-centered cancer care in northern New Jersey. The Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons has awarded Valley’s Cancer Program a Three-Year Accreditation with Commendation Gold Level, the highest level of recognition and one attained by only 30 percent of cancer centers in the U.S. It has also been honored by the Commission with a prestigious 2015 Outstanding Achievement Award. Valley is the only hospital in northern New Jersey and one of only two in New Jersey to receive this award in 2015. Other recognitions include a Women’s Choice Award® as one of America’s Best Hospitals for Cancer Care and six Gold Seals for cancer care from The Joint Commission.
