Parents bring their children to see pediatric gastroenterologists for a wide range of gastrointestinal concerns. Pediatric gastroenterologists provide services including the diagnosis, treatment, and management of all diseases and disorders of the gastrointestinal system in children. These include common complaints–such as abdominal pain and gas, bloody stools, and gastroesophageal reflux disease–to irritable bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), celiac disease (gluten intolerance), liver disease/hepatitis B and C, failure to thrive, malabsorption, and poor growth syndromes.
Learn about your child’s gastrointestinal system when The Valley Hospital hosts a live webinar “Tummy Troubles” on Thursday, March 31st, from 7 – 8 p.m. online at ValleyHealth.WebEx.com.
This important program will be led by Diana Volpert, M.D., who will discuss common stomach issues in infants, what’s normal and what’s not and what you can do to help those tiny tummy troubles.
Dr. Volpert is a Valley Medical Group pediatric gastroenterologist who attended Sackler School of Medicine - Tel Aviv University and then completed her residency at Nassau County Medical Center.
