Board-certified family practitioner Marciano T. Figueroa, Jr., M.D., who is also fellowship-trained in geriatrics, has joined Valley Medical Group’s Primary/Urgent Care Center in Montvale. Dr. Figueroa has been a member of Valley Medical Group for two years and will now be in practice full-time at the center, which is located at 85 Chestnut Ridge Road.
“I offer my patients old-world personalized care and compassion within the new world of state-of-the-art treatments that are practiced in medicine today,” says Dr. Figueroa. “My extensive training and experience in family medicine, pediatrics, and geriatrics enables me to provide the full range of medical care for patients of all ages, from 5 to 100+.”
Dr. Figueroa, a resident of Nutley, received his medical degree cum laude from Perpetual Help College of Medicine in the Philippines. He underwent internship and graduate training in general surgery, ophthalmology, and medicine in the Philippines. After arriving in the United States in 1989, he completed his residency in family practice at St. Mary Hospital in Hoboken, NJ, and his fellowship in geriatrics at Hackensack University Medical Center. He also underwent clinical rotations at Bergen Regional Medical Center in Paramus and Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.
Over the past 15 years, Dr. Figueroa has been in private practice in New Jersey. His clinical experiences include inpatient and outpatient care, nursing home and home visits, comprehensive assessments and treatment of the elderly, and experience in internal medicine, pediatrics, office gynecology, and minor surgery. He has also managed an adult medical day care center and has taught medical students.
